Apply for a Grant

Before seeking support, please thoroughly review the Hyde Family Foundation's impact areas and investment interests. If you believe your organization and/or project fit within the Foundation's interests, you may submit an electronic application for funding through our website. Applications must be accompanied by all the required attachments listed in the application.

*** DECEMBER 2020 UPDATE ***

While a very difficult decision, the Foundation’s leadership has determined that in order to ensure that our current grantees successfully endure the COVID-19 crisis and that we can adequately support our community’s recovery efforts, we will not accept applications from organizations that we are not currently funding until the December 1, 2021 grant application deadline. If you have an application already underway in our Foundant grant portal, you will need to start a new application to apply at the 12/1/21 deadline in order to ensure you are accessing the most current version of the grant application. We truly and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

*** FEBRUARY 2020 UPDATE ***

The Hyde Family Foundation switched to a new grants management system at the end of 2019, which includes a new grant application portal. Minor revisions have been made to the grant application. The new portal is now open and available here.

Important Notes:

  • As a new system, all applicants, including those who had a previous account through the old system, will need to register and create a new account.

  • A brief, three minute video on managing your new Applicant Dashboard can be found here.

  • While each organization will have one singular account, more than more user may be linked or added to collaborate on an application through the Collaborate feature. Should you need direction on how to use this feature, please read the tutorial and/or watch this brief video.

  • Any applications that were started prior to November 2019 through our previous system/portal did not transfer.

  • Please add to your email's Safe Senders list so that automatically generated system emails (such as confirmation of registration and submission of application) can be received and do not go into your junk/spam folder.

All applications will be carefully reviewed by staff, and select applications will then be reviewed quarterly by Foundation Trustees. Applications are typically reviewed at the Trustee meetings, but some funding decisions may be deferred or considered out-of-cycle, when necessary. You will be notified promptly when your application is received, and you will be updated on the status of your application within six to eight weeks of submission. Click here to see information on our grantmaking cycle.
