    Soulsville ranked among best high schools by U.S. News & World Report

    U.S. News & World Report ranked Soulsville Charter School among the 2015 Best High Schools that are preparing students for college.
    Soulsville Charter School is ranked No. 9 within Tennessee, No. 165 among U.S. charter schools and No. 1,409 among all U.S. high schools, earning the silver designation from U.S. News & World Report.
    Soulsville is made up of 540 students in grades 6-12, with 51 teachers who give students the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. Soulsville’s AP participation is at 57 percent.
    Based on student performance on state exit exams and college-level coursework including AP exams, 58 percent of students are proficient in English and 76 percent are proficient in Algebra, giving Soulsville a college readiness index of 32.4.
