Thank you for your interest in seeking support from the Hyde Family Foundation. We ask that you please read the grant descriptions below before beginning your application.

The first application is our standard “HFF Grant Application.” It should be used for most requests. The second “HFF Capacity-building Grant Application” is for one-time capacity-building-related requests only, not general operating support, capital support, program/project support, etc.

Important Notes:

  • A tutorial and brief video on managing your Applicant Dashboard and applying for funding through our portal can be found here.
  • While each organization will have one account, more than one user may be linked or added to collaborate on an application through the “Collaborate” feature. Please read or watch the brief video here for guidance on how to collaborate.
  • Previous grant application responses can be copied and pasted into a current request. Click here to read about or watch a brief video tutorial.
  • Please add to your email’s Safe Senders list so that automatically generated system emails (such as confirmation of registration and submission of application) can be received and do not go into your junk/spam folder.

We accept Standard Grant Applications three times per year as indicated below. All applications will be carefully reviewed by staff, and select applications will then be reviewed by Foundation Trustees. Applications are typically reviewed at Hyde Family Foundation board meetings, but some funding decisions may be deferred. You will be notified promptly when your application is received, and you will be updated on the status of your application within 6-12 weeks of submission.

Attention Thriving Arts and Culture grant applicants

The Hyde Family Foundation will not accept applications from new arts and culture organizations until August 1, 2024, with grant funding disbursed in or after 2025. We have made the difficult decision to focus our funding and support on our current arts and culture grantees. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you stay connected for future updates and opportunities. We are grateful for your organization’s contributions to our rich culture. For potential grant seekers, we encourage you to look at grant opportunities through ArtsMemphis.
